The SX overlander is the first time EarthRomaer has put its gear on a Chevy. The ginormous Silverado 5500 is the base vehicle that carries EarthRoamer’s capacious and stealthy vacuum-formed carbon fiber shell. Inside, there are accommodations for six, including sleeping quarters, dining quarters, and a dry bathroom with a rainfall shower and a cassette toilet. Also included are 120-gallon fresh water and 55-gallon gray water tanks, roof-mounted solar power to feed the 18,000-Wh lithium-ion battery bank, 30-amp shore power, and the ability to let the engine charge the battery bank and operate appliances via the inverter and chargers. The SX also has 100-gallon diesel fuel capacity, upgraded suspension, four-wheel drive, and big mil-spec tires on beadlock wheels. Premium materials inside include maple wood cabinetry, cedar closets, leather upholstery, granite countertops, and machined aluminum latches.
