Bike manufacturer Canyon just released its own e-bike, the Precede:ON CF 8, but they have something even more tantalizing in store. It’s known as the Future Mobility Concept, and it’s more of a tiny EV than it is an e-bike. The FMC is meant to combat urban traffic jams because it’s essentially a very small single-seater recumbent bike wrapped in a carbon fiber shell. You can ride it on bike paths thanks to its narrow width, but you can also use pedal assist on urban streets for speeds up to 15.53 mph and full-electric up to 37.3 mph with a range of up to 93 miles. In terms of crash safety, that’s a question that has yet to be answered. No word on cupholders, either.
