‘Bodied’ Is Eminem’s Movie About Battle Rap

Eminem’s cinematic career isn’t long and he has far more credits for TV performances and music videos than actual films, but 8 Mile proved the guy knows his way around the medium. Bodied looks to be his next foray into film, with him acting as a producer for the movie, which is all about the world of battle rap. It’s an exchange built entirely around insulting and disrespecting the other rappers, and judging from the trailer’s example of it, the rappers mine deep into you to find things they can exploit. There’s plenty of creativity and talent that goes into it, it’s just creativity and talent that pretty much reduces the other person to tears at worst and crushing depression at best. There’s no release date as of right now, but we’ll be keeping our eyes open.
