Aventon makes some of the coolest e-bikes around, and they’re now moving to the next level, quite appropriately known as Level.2. It promises a new torque sensor that makes electric assist more intuitive, quicker, and with a more natural feel. The flagship e-bike uses a real torque sensor that gauges your own effort and properly supplements that human pedal power with the right amount of electric assist. You can ride without assistance or queue up the 48v, 500W brushless hub motor with the accompanying torque sensor. You can extract up to 60 miles of range and cruise at speeds up to 28 mph. Additional features of the Level.2 include an 8-speed drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, and an LCD backlit color display with app connectivity. It’s a huge step for the brand, and riders should immediately feel the improvement. Whether you ride recreationally or you’re a die-hard commuter, the Level.2 should make both quite a bit more enjoyable.
