The practical compact Ford Ranger is getting redesigned for 2024, and that’s a very good thing since the one we got in the states a few years ago has already been the Ranger sold overseas since back in 2011. The big news, however, is the arrival of the more powerful version, the Ranger Raptor, with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that emits 405 horsepower and puts 430 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. In addition to more robust styling elements than the stock Ranger, the Raptor comes standard with four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case, front and rear electronic locking differentials, FOX Live Valve shocks, 33-inch BFGoodrich KO3 tires, and additional drive modes. The dune jumper also has 10.7 inches of ground clearance and improved approach, breakover, and departure angles. It will also be able to tow 7,500 pounds with the Trailer Tow package. Pricing should be close to the $60k mark, quite a bit less than the bigger and more powerful F-15 Raptor’s $76,775 asking price.
