‘Bob Marley: Portrait of a Legend’ Coffee Table Book

Even though he was taken from us way too soon–almost forty years ago–there’s no denying the fact that Robert Nesta Marley (aka Bob Marley) was an absolute musical legend. In honor of his seventy-fifth birthday, his son, Ziggy Marley, teamed up with publisher Rizzoli to create an oversized coffee table book of portraits to celebrate his late father. With more than 150 separate photographs that run the gamut from iconic to intimate, Bob Marley Portrait of a Legend presents an overall picture of the man behind the legend he spent his entire life building. The book touches on everything from behind-the-scenes and previously unseen glimpses, to on stage and family life in Jamaica in a way that could have never been done before because it draws exclusively on photos from the Marley family archives for the first time. The book clocks in at over 200 pages, almost five pounds and also includes excerpts from unpublished interviews and Marley’s own prophetic quotes.
