Tipping Cabin Concept

If it ever gets produced, “Tipping” will offer one hell of a unique view of the Montpellier mountains thanks to architect and designer Christophe Benichou. The theoretical project was dreamed up on the occasion of a friend’s 30th birthday as a combination of an homage to the beauty of the territory and a place of rest and contemplation. Situated at the summit of the Pic Saint-Loup in the south of France, the site of “Tipping” would offer a unique panorama with a 360-degree horizon that stretches from the Mediterranean to the Cévennes and only requires a trek up the already steep cliff to access. Once at the summit you would be able to access the precariously perched cube that is equal parts terrifying and resplendent thanks to its construction, opaque “blinder” sides and perforated roof. If we’re being completely honest, we don’t know if we’d have the stones to venture inside without a protective piece of glass at the front, but we’re willing to bet there would be plenty of brave people that would tackle the trek with aplomb.
