We’re always game for a road trip that takes us to the corners of the country we’ve never seen before. We’re also always game for trying regional dishes done right. This map, composed by Orbitz, brings those two things together in the form of The Ultimate U.S. Foodie Trip. Our hatred of the term “foodie” aside, this is pretty well done. Orbitz used data from Foursquare to determine the restaurants whipping up the finest examples of regional cuisine and charted the path to each using a service from Jupyter. The result is a massive tour of the continental United States that winds through places like Key West, Seattle, L.A., and Burlington, Vermont. The interactive map is easy to navigate, so if you just want to see what the best pizza in Connecticut is, you can find it in a drop down menu on the side. Spoiler Alert: It’s Frank Pepe Pizzeria. Duh.
