A Few ‘Game of Thrones’ Filming Locations are Opening as Tourist Attractions

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan in the midst of planning a getaway, consider catching a flight to Northern Ireland next year. Why? Well, not only are the coasts stunning, the fields lush, and the bars cozy, but next year you’ll have the chance to step inside some very familiar spots. That’s because HBO announced the locations used for Winterfell, Castle Black, Kings Landing, and others will see new life as tourist attractions as early as next year. Each will be decked out with props, costumes, weapons, and other objects that saw screen time on one of the greatest shows ever created. Dubbed “Game of Thrones Legacy,” the attractions will complete the GoT experience for fans who have so far only seen the landscapes used throughout Ireland, Iceland, Malta, and other places.
