It appears the Volkswagen Atlas family is about to grow. The Atlas, as you may know, is the brand’s SUV, which has received very positive reviews since its introduction. Now meet the Atlas Tanoak, a pick-up based on that very SUV. While Volkswagen is calling it a concept vehicle, the automaker did reveal a good bit about it, including the fact that it’s packed with a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. It’s close to 18 feet long, placing it in the more robust pick-up category. VW even supplied shots of the interior, which is highlighted by what appears to be a single strip of light that runs from the dash to the doors. VW is gauging interest but seems pretty set on releasing the truck some time in the future.
