New Zealand-based electric bike manufacturer is following up on the success of their UBCO 2×2 Utility Bike with a new trail bike that is decidedly more performance focused than their previous releases. It’s called the UBCO FRX1 Trail Bike, and it’s every bit as fast as it looks. When we say fast, we’re not talking residential street fast, either. We’re talking a top speed of 50 mph thanks to a 15kW peak power brushless motor that delivers performance instantaneously with a twist throttle an no clutch. Combine those performance specs with a lightweight aluminum allow frame, and it’s easy to see why this 132lbs machine is more like a two-wheeled, open-air rocket ship than it is a traditional electric bike. It even has a maximum range of 62 miles which means its good for a whole day of fun or a commute. There’s no word yet on a final delivery date, but pre-orders for the UBCO FRX1 are open now.
