The Toyota Sienna minivan may go exclusively hybrid for its next generation. Their bigger trucks and SUVs haven’t been redesigned in over a decade. It’s time for some fresh thinking. The boxy and angular TJ Cruiser introduced back in 2017 might just be the answer to the minivan/SUV combo no one asked for but everybody might want. Word is that Toyota might make the announcement about the TJ’s production as early as May, and it could be huge. The TJ will look a lot like the edgy concept and get all-wheel drive, three engines (two gas, one hybrid), and three rows of passenger capacity. We’ll wait and see if the TJ gets the concept’s fold flat seats, multiple tie-downs, pegboard door panels, and woven strap grab handles. We’ll be thrilled if this unique vehicle makes it to production, for sure.
