Inboard Sports has created the world’s first electric skateboard, Monolith, that actually has clean lines and looks good. More importantly, it’s less prone to breakage, lighter, water resistant, can reach 24mph and even charge your phone. Most, if not all, of these things are possible with their patented Manta Drive motors located inside the wheels of the board. If you look at the Monolith next to a more traditional board you might not even be able to tell which one is electric… unless you’re cruising at up to 24mph for 10 miles. It uses regenerative braking to extend the battery range, but the batteries can also be swapped on the go for longer distances. Monolith might actually make errands fun.
