To call these great Pontiac Firebird “barn finds” would be a mild understatement. Discovered back in 2014 in a rather sad state, these Pontiac Firebirds VIN #001 and #002 were restored to perfection by Dallas-based Gas Monkey Garage, and now they’re up for sale on eBay. Built in 1967, they constitute a great piece of American motoring history in coupe and convertible format, having been introduced at the same time as the similarly-styled Chevy Camaro. These Firebirds were up for sale as a pair and made for a rare auction offering. #001 is a red on red 5.3-liter V8 convertible with an automatic transmission, and #002 is a silver on black 5.3-liter V8 coupe with a 4-speed manual. The asking price was a cool $285K for two pristine examples of American pony-car muscle, the likes of which we may not see again.
