The Nua Electrica e-Bike Never Needs to be Plugged in

The Nua Electrica e-Bike Never Needs to be Plugged in

You like the idea of an e-Bike, but you don’t like the bulky look most versions possess due to all the tech and batteries housed within. Now, Barcelona’s Nua Bikes has a brilliantly minimalist answer that should bring you to the other side. Their Nua Electrica bike uses what’s known as the Zehus Bike+ all-in-one electric bike hub that makes the bike a self-charging e-Bike by virtue of its motor, sensors, and battery that are all housed in a single hub unit. Not only does the 6.6-pound unit provide 18.6 miles of electric power-assisted pedaling, there’s never a need to plug it in if you ride in right conditions. The system charges the bike via regenerative braking, much like an EV or hybrid car. The other huge benefit is the fact that pretty much no one can tell you’re riding an e-Bike. The Electrica bike itself is a light 28-lb titanium-framed fixie that’s easy enough to pedal without assistance and comes with premium components like a carbon belt drive, Mavic wheels, Sugino Pista crankset, Gilles Berthoud saddle, and Brooks leather grips. The Zehus Bike+ hub can also be used on other bikes suited for its application.
