Nikola Motor Company just released details and renderings of their hybrid semi-truck dubbed One that are both completely absurd and mind-blowing. The Nikola One is a hybrid big rig that uses a combination of electric engines and a fuel agnostic turbine to give you: 3,700 ft. lbs of torque, 1,200 miles range and, most importantly, 2,000 horsepower. Yes, you read that correctly. This futuristic looking semi truck has 2,000 horsepower and never needs to be plugged in while driving because the turbine charges the batteries. You also get shorter stopping distances, better fuel economy than diesel, 65mph up hill speeds, regenerative brakes and a 0-60 time that’s half a normal diesel rig. The first 5,000 reservations also get free fuel for the first million miles. They better build one of these to be Optimus Prime in the next Transformers movie.
