Taking drinking and driving to healthy levels, Nespresso has partnered with Vélosophy to create a bike made from aluminum Nespresso pods that also comes with its own beverage holder basket for caffeinated imbibing on the go. The brilliantly named RE:CYCLE is a limited-production version of Vélosophy’s own classic bike but clad in the Nespresso Arpeggio blend’s bright purple hue. The bike project was meant to highlight aluminum’s remarkable recyclability and versatility. The bike frame is 6061 aluminum directly from Nespresso capsules, and the Shimano components ensure easy 5-speed shifting and stopping with strong disc brakes. Big whitewall tires were selected for comfortable city touring, and the front and rear fenders will keep you clean when the riding gets a bit dirty. The bike gets topped off with fine Brooks Cambium seating and grips, and the finishing touch is a wooden basket with loops for your hot cuppa joe. Only 1,000 bikes will be made.
