In automotive trash talk, getting your “paint peeled off” is a burn implying that the winning car was so fast that it somehow stripped the losing car’s paint right off. Ouch, get the aloe vera. The new McLaren P1, due to be revealed at the Geneva Car Show, doesn’t need to talk trash. And it doesn’t just peel the paint off. It simply peels everything off leaving not even a shred of upholstery to wipe the losers tears away. The latest offering from the speed obsessed at McLaren is a 903 horsepower combination of “normal” and electric motor that clocks 0-60 times under 3 seconds. It will also reach 218 mph. Good luck getting your hands on one as McLaren is limiting production of this “hyper-car” to 375 vehicles.
