Own a Piece of Le Mans History with the Porsche 917 K

Plenty of cars have long, fulfilling lives, but not many of them have the kind of varied, Le Mans heavy career this 1970 Porsche 917 K did. Almost every part of this car’s early life revolved around making sure the Le Mans was a success. Initially, Team Gulf drove the car during their 1970 Le Mans testing, as well as tests for the Nürburgring and Ehra Lessien. From there, the car was sold to Jo Siffert, who leased the car for use in the production of Le Mans. During filming the car was both on camera and had the camera on it, making it an integral part of the famous film. After Siffert was killed in an accident in his Formula 1 race in October of 1971, this Porsche 917 is the one that led his funeral parade. Fans of the Le Mans should count themselves lucky that a car like this can even still be owned, even if they don’t have the minimum $13 million it’d take to buy it.
