Land Rover Defender 90 Nardo Grey

Land Rover Defender 90 Nardo Grey

Looking at the Land Rover Defender 90 Nardo Grey—the latest project from the folks at Cool & Vintage out of Australia—you’d be hard-pressed to pinpoint the fact that this began life as a 2002 Defender. A soft-top with roll-up covers has been fitted to the roof. The nonsense plastic bits on the interior have been deleted in favor of a stripped down aesthetic that’s nowhere near as insulated as it once was but is a helluva lot cooler. It’s also got new upholstery and a striking grey paint job. The front grill has been replaced with a matte black number that’s far for menacing. It sits on a wheel and tire package that will tear up everything from sand to pavement. In other words, Cool & Vintage did what they always do; they took a car that was pretty damn respectable in the first place and turned it into vehicle that feels like a vintage SUV while still being completely new.
