The future of motoring in general is electric and autonomous, and we’ve featured quite a few of those vehicles in recent years. From self-driving trucks to helicopters, the future is bright, automated and exciting–and it’s not just limited to personal transportation as this Kubota Autonomous Tractor Concept proves. In order to commemorate the 130th anniversary of their founding, Japan-based Kubota recently unveiled this autonomous tractor concept that aims to use AI to replace an aging and/or retiring population of farmers that won’t be able to do their jobs in the near future. With its combination of lithium-ion cells, solar power, four motors, multiple tracks and tight turning radius, the Kubota Autonomous Tractor Concept is primed and ready to tackle all those jobs that no one seams interested in doing anymore while still being economical, automated and easy-to-use. No word yet on whether it will see actual production, but it’s probably just a matter of time.
