If you can’t decide between a moped and an electric bike, Juiced Bikes can make the decision for you with their Scorpion. Although it looks like a moped with motorcycle tires instead of cookie-sized versions, you can still pedal the thing. It’ll give you 28 mph and a 45-mile range with its 750-watt hub motor and 52-volt battery. There are even real shocks in front and back and a bona fide hydraulic front disc brake. The Scorpion also gets a Shimano seven-speed gearset for smooth shifting. The big tires provide stability and traction, and the skateboard seat may accommodate a passenger while cramping speed and range a bit. Lights, fenders, and a rear rack make it everyday practical, too. Preorders are up now for delivery in the spring of 2020.
