Designer, artist and transportation nut Joey Ruiter has come up with some pretty crazy pieces over the years. First, there was the Growler City Bike. Then there was the Tinnie 10 Vessel. Ruiter is back with another far out creation in Snoped Version 2, the single track snowmobile that looks like someone fitted skis to the bottom of a Sandcrawler from Star Wars. Presumably named because it’s kind of a “snow moped” (sno-ped), this unconventional beast uses a 110cc Yamaha power train and a 4-speed transmission that puts power to the ground with a Timbersled Ripper 90 track system. It’s almost angular and mean looking while still being minimal and cleanly built (like everything Ruiter makes), but it wouldn’t be our first choice for comfortably cruising through the powder. That said, we could totally see the new version of the Snoped popping up in a new Netflix or Amazon original about a slightly dystopian future that somehow still has snow.
