Pretend for a moment that you were given untethered access to the automotive toy boxes at VW, Audi, and Lamborghini. What automotive pornography would you dream up? Fabrizio Giugiaro, from the Italian design and engineering firm ItalDesign, had just this opportunity as it was his passion to create a dual purpose sports car. An exotic hybrid if you will. His vision came to reality, after 50,000 man hours, in the form of the Parcour. Looking somewhat like an oddly shaped Lamborghini on 22 inch wheels, the Parcour is equally adept on twisty winding roads as it is off-road. A 550 hp V-10 gets the power to all the wheels via an Audi 7 Speed S-Tronic transmission. Go off the beaten path and a hydraulic suspension can adjust the height of the Parcour to one of three ride heights. And as ItalDesign is majority owned by Lamborghini, it is fitting that the doors are of the butterfly type. Will the Parcour ever make it to the showroom floor? Unlikely, but we can always dream.
