Fred Krugger FD Custom Racer

If ever there was a car that existed solely for the sake of design, it’s the hand-crafted FD created by moto custom builder, Fred Krugger. With a focus on retofuturism and art deco style, the pseudo-open wheel racer is almost more of a sculpture than a car. Named for its surely affluent clients’ surnames, François Fornieri André Dupont, the FD has unique ovular wheel housings and similarly shaped headlight and taillight surrounds, as well as exhaust trim. Perhaps the most interesting aspect is the single-seat cabin that has an executive-style driver’s throne sans cushioning and instead is constructed out of wood. Hell, it even has flanking armrests. We’re not even sure how you don’t slide around like a tuna on a deck with the big Bentley-sourced 750-horsepower V12 engine tossing you to and fro. The radical racer will show up at the Dream Car Exhibition at 2020’s Brussels Motor Show from January 10th through the 19th.
