The third generation of the Ford GT is the ultimate American supercar and follows in the footsteps of the Le Mans history maker but now with tech, aerodynamics, and performance that make it a truly modern speed demon. The Ford Performance arm of the brand just took the wraps off their new track version that ran at Goodwood this past weekend. The MKII is powered by an upgraded 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine and festooned with all manner of aggressive aero like a huge rear wing, a roof-mounted air vent for cooling, and a rear diffuser that looks like it’s ready to mow grass. The new MkII drops 200 pounds from the production version, adds 24 horses to the tune of an even 700 making it the most powerful Ford GT ever. You can even buy one of the 45 limited-run monsters at a price tag of $1.2 million, which is only about $800K more than the stock version was in 2017.
