Just when you thought the Lexus LX 570 was a dinosaur of a luxury SUV, it gets new life thanks to Expedition Overland. The already rugged body-on-frame LX 570 gets turned into a bona fide off-roader that’s actually going to compete in the 10-day hellish Rebelle Rally. The new vehicle is called the J201 Concept, and it gets plenty of upgrades including a power bump from 383 to 550 horsepower, upgraded differentials, a water-fording snorkel, new suspension components, increased ride height, new brakes and rotors, a Warn winch, skid plates, and a full rack for gear. The J201 has also been outfitted with pull-out drawer storage, a dog bed, and a set of Zero Halliburton luggage for the rally team to travel in style.
