There are Porsche purists who would be horrified with this mad 356 mod, but we’re in lust. Emory Motorsports of California has created the angry-beautiful Emory Porsche 356 RSR. What started out as a 1960 356B T5 coupe donor car was melded with a 911 chassis from a 964 and new bodywork that includes hand-formed aluminum in the nose and tail sections and gets covered by matte charcoal grey paint that’s just right for this stealthy monster. The powerful twin-turbo 2.4-liter flat four exposes its goodness from the partially open back end, and it delivers up to 400 horsepower that moves the mere 1,950 lbs of sports car with serious haste. The fact that it’s mated to a sweet manual transmission means the rear-wheel drive, visceral driving experience is mostly under your control.
