There will never be another Jaguar E-Type, and the design of the low slung sports coupe/roadster will forever remain in the pantheon of iconic automotive design. That is, unless it’s handmade homage like the Eagle Lightweight GT. The company took the Series 1 E-Type and crafted each piece of the body out of rigid, light, and more modern aluminum (eh-loo-min-yum to the Brits). But the body has been modified slightly to incorporate more modern touches that also enhance aerodynamics and performance. A 4.7-liter straight-six engine lies under the hood, churning out 380 brake horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The car has also been blessed with magnesium and titanium, as well as a bespoke interior the E-Type truly deserves. Meticulous attention to detail, a thoroughly modern driving experience, and the spirit of a legend make this car truly special. The price, as far as we know, is close to a million bucks and perhaps more if Eagle builds it to your specifications.
