Even before we went Inside: Deus Ex Machina Milano we loved the brand, and the Deus Ex Machina Bel Air 1200 Framer is the perfect example of all the reasons why we love them. Built by Michael Woolaway in his Venice Beach workshop for a customer who wanted a bike similar to The American, this motorcycle combines the best of Harley Davidson, quality aftermarket parts and Deus design. Harley motor, major ’50s style thanks to Woolie’s handshaped aluminum work, and the perfect custom paint mix made in collaboration with Anaheim Rod and Custom. It’s a cafe racer that’s equally modern and vintage while still being completely, uniquely Deus.
