The latest in a string of crazy concepts developed by BMW Motorrad is a flying motorcycle concept based on a LEGO kit. Before you get your hopes up and start dreaming of land speeder style races or action movie sequences, the Hover Ride Concept is completely non-functional, but people said that about hoverboards in the past, too. The fact that it doesn’t work is way less important than the story behind it. BMW partnered with LEGO to develop a 600+ piece model kit for their popular BMW R 1200 GS motorcycle. That Adventure kit included an alternate configuration that allowed you to build the bike as a flying hover bike. BMW liked the second option so much that they built a full-size version of the hover bike, which is what you’re looking at. The concept based on a LEGO model based on a real motorcycle will be traveling to Lego World and other BMW locations if you want to check it out in person.
