When it comes to customizing bikes, the platform you start with is almost as important as the work that goes into it and the creator’s vision for what the bike can become. The BMW R-series motorcycles from a few decades ago are a popular starting point because of features like the flat-twin airhead engine and the single-side swingarm. Rather than the commando style or apocalypse motorcycle style we normally see, Barbara Custom Motorcycles out of Paris decided to make their BMW R80 Black Mamba Concept bike something straight out of a race circuit in the future. The only downside to their gorgeous rendition is that the black on black on black cafe racer or brat style bike exists only in images at this point. We’re hoping at some point in the future we’ll actually see the concept on the street.
