Boutique automakers have been shoveling in electric powertrains in vintage automobiles like Porsche 911s, VW Beetles, and Ford Broncos, so why not a 1967 Ford Mustang? Well, Russian company Aviar has made their R67 that takes key components from the Telsa Model S and gives the retro-‘stang 840 galloping horses of power that rocket the aluminum and composite-bodied car to 60 in a shocking 2.2 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. It even gets up to 507 miles of range and all-wheel drive, making it a truly beautiful commuter that can run in four seasons. On top of that, it makes use of Tesla’s Autopilot system and Supercharge stations. Inside, the interior is more futuristic than retro with a rebranded Model S’s 17″ inch touchscreen, big swaths of premium leather, and premium audio. All we know is we’ll take ours in grey with black stripes, a-la Eleanor.
