Not to be outdone by the likes of McLaren or Aston Martin with their early Geneva International Motor Show reveals, Audi has unveiled the new 2016 R8 V10 that is billed as their “fastest and most powerful production model.” The new R8 V10 shares the same engine as the Lamborghini Huracán, but in the 610hp configuration, the 5.2L V10 in the R8 actually generates more horsepower than the Lambo. On top of the engine that generates 60hp more than the last R8, the 2016 version is also packing a new all-wheel drive system, launch control, digital gauges, slight design adjustments and better fuel economy (the 19mpg is actually an improvement). European pricing starts at €165k (roughly $185k), but Audi says it won’t be a straight dollar conversion when the 2016 R8 lands stateside.
