Tesla may have gotten a jump on other auto manufacturers when it comes to sexy electrics, but those other names are starting to catch up. Proof? Take a look at the Audi E-Tron Sportback Concept, which was recently unveiled at Auto Shanghai. Designed for everyday use (it has a range of 310 miles), the electric SUV is powered by three separate electric motors that help it record a 0-60 time around 4.5 seconds. A lithium-ion battery is situated below the passenger side and is designed to give the SUV a low center of gravity and superior dynamics. One of the unique features is the lighting system, which is crafted to project a display on the road so other drivers can see it. Tiny cameras replace standard exterior mirrors in an effort to improve air flow and eliminate blind spots. Whether this is all enough to make you reconsider the Tesla Model X remains to be seen when it hits showrooms in 2019.
