Hitting the floor at Bonham’s Chantilly sale next week is this concept 1972 Maserati Boomerang Coupe. Originally designed by Georgetto Giugiaro, the Boomerang’s wedge shape and sharp angles would be core elements of almost all exotics going forward. While originally crafted sans motor, the Boomerang was later fitted with a 4.7 liter V8, courtesy of the Maserati Bora, with approximately 310 hp on tap. Luckily, the three previous owners were like-minded in their care of this Boomerang as it is nearly perfect in condition, including the curious protruding dashboard with all gauges and indicators inside the steering wheel. Be prepared to dig deep though as it is largely expected that Maserati will be an aggressive bidder.
