The Ranger is back, and we’ve driven it. Capable, practical, and right-sized, it’s a solid re-entry into the mid-sized pickup truck game. But it’s the Prorunner from Automotive Performance Group that gets our blood flowing. More of a baja-style pickup than a simple light-duty version, the Prorunner gets chunky exposed carbon fiber fenders that add a significant 10 inches of width, as well as receiving new suspension and steering componentry. There’s also a new aluminum front bumper, huge all-terrain tires on beadlock wheels, LED lights in the roof rack and bumper, and an optional winch. The powertrain goes unchanged, but the look of the Ranger gets dynamic changes with this kit that can be installed by APG or done yourself now that you have ample time.
