1988 Italdesign Aztec

When a car as unique as the Aztec goes up for sale, we take notice. It might not be a vintage Ferrari, but it is nonetheless special. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and built back in 1988, it’s all the right kind of ’80s. It was way ahead of its time with the aluminum, carbon fiber, and Kevlar construction, as well as the truly unique service control panel that provided access to repairs via specific 3-digit codes, and dual-action doors where there was a butterfly upper portion and a more conventional lower swing door. The engine is a turbocharged Audi-sourced 2.2-liter inline-five mated to a five-speed manual that drove all four wheels. If you like gray interiors, this is your car.
