Any 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is worth buying, trading for or stealing, but none of them are like the Machstang. Originally dreamed up by a teenager and built by his insane father at significant time and expense, the Machstang is one of the most obsessively detailed car builds we’ve ever seen. More than 2,500 hours of labor, a six figure investment and a whole slew of custom parts went into creating this supercharged beast with ram jet fuel injection that was owned by Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria. For who knows what reason, the car is set to roll across the auction block at Mecum with some very stiff competition for its expected six figure price tag. From the modified hood scoop all the way to the rear end, this is one of the most beautiful Mustangs we’ve ever seen.
