1970 Rokon Trail-Breaker Motorcycle

1970 Rokon Trail-Breaker Motorcycle

If you’re on the hunt for a truly unique motorcycle that doesn’t look like some dark and menacing modded number, take one look at this construction-heavy-equipment-yellow vintage Rokon that’s sold on Bring-A-Trailer totally unmodified and in excellent condition. It’s a fat-tired dirt bike with a crazy two-wheel drive setup from a diminutive 136cc Chrysler Power Bee engine. Rather than looking for mad levels of power, the Rokon has some unique features like hollow aluminum wheels and huge tires that enable it to float and a total absence of suspension (the big tires help mitigate this). There’s a three-speed transmission, front and rear racks, and a wire engine protector. Perhaps even more interesting is who owned the bike, the inventor of the modern medical ventilator, Dr. Forrest Bird. It’s a special vintage bike that should bring years of muddy fun and make for a serious conversation starter.
