Tom Givone, a former advertising copywriter turned designer/contractor/DIY expert/builder/jack-of-all-trades, has transformed this rural Pennsylvania farmhouse into something truly spectacular with his unique twist and unconventional skill set. Situated across the street and over the creek from the property the owners originally grew up in, this 1800s farmhouse was the perfect opportunity to stay connected to family while still doing something completely different. In the case of the giveonehome Twist Farmhouse, that meant a modern structure with a traditional exterior that was twisted in a surreal fashion to physically display the “family bond” pulling it toward the childhood home across the creek like some sort of gravitational force. The entire structure is an absolutely gorgeous combination of the modern and vintage with just enough throwback and out-of-this-world to make it comfortable to live in.
