We already have plenty of pens from Kickstarter. They run the gamut in materials, operating mechanisms, colors and cost. We’re buying the Triumvir anyways because a) we have to collect them all, and b) we don’t have a tri-color pen from Kickstarter. It’s actually kind of baffling to us that it took someone this long to make a good-looking tri-color pen for Kickstarter, but we’re happy it’s finally here. The problem with most of the existing tri-color pens is that stupid slide-lock mechanism that takes up all the space on the side of the pen, looks like shit and always breaks. By combining three ink cartridges with a split click mechanism, Triumvir could be the best three color pen ever. Because it’s a Kickstarter pen, it’s available in Aluminum (7075 as opposed to 6061), Stainless Steel and Titanium.
