There’s no denying the cultural impact The Beatles have had in the more than half a century since they formed in Liverpool. Their impact is so prevalent that there’s even a Wikipedia article about it. Their music has led to thousands of covers and now, to their songs being re-imagined as vintage book and magazine covers by the one and only Todd Alcott. If Alcott’s name and the style of these pieces seem familiar that’s because he did something similar with his series of David Bowie Pulp Fiction Book Covers. For The Beatles, he chose to re-imagine 7 of their songs as vintage pieces like a National Enquirer cover, dime store novel, vintage Chevy Corvair ad, and a science fiction novel, among other. “A Day in the Life,” “Rocky Raccoon,” “Hello Goodbye,” “Tomorrow Never Knows,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” “Drive My Car,” and “Revolution” all got the Alcott treatment. Each one of the seven prints in the series come on heavy, glossy, archival-quality paper in a bunch of different sizes for easy framing.
