Takashi Murakami is one of those artists that blends so many different styles, disciplines, materials and subject matters that it can be hard to define what he does–but you immediately know a piece of his work when you see it. This is especially true when it comes to his iconic flower motif you’ll find on collaborations like his Murakami x Perrier Limited Edition Bottles and the Takashi Murakami x smart Magazine “Flowers” Pancake Pan you see here. This small, perfectly round pan is an ideal size for a pancake, and the flower motif that’s built into the pan will seamlessly transfer to each piece of your breakfast stack for some morning fun. The first pre-order of the Takashi Murakami x smart Magazine “Flowers” Pancake Pan sold out almost instantly, but there is a second one scheduled for January 25th through select Japanese retailers like Amazon Japan, Rakuten and Kinokuniya. The pan comes with smart’s upcoming April issue for 1,280 yen, which is about $13 US.
