Powers Construction Steel Site Shack

Powers Construction Steel Site Shack

The Powers Construction Site Shack isn’t trying to be a fancy tiny home. It’s really designed as a portable workspace and shelter. The design copies pitch-roofed homes, only way smaller. Constructed with weathering corten steel that requires no painting and adopts a resilient, rust-colored (but not rusting) appearance, along with construction-grade lumber, the Site Shack can easily be transported to just about any location via flatbed truck, and it requires no plumbing or pre-made foundation. Though it has virtually no creature comforts, it has a small cold-rolled steel stove for heat and can be outfitted with a hidden steel door. The prototype was used on a job site by Powers Construction and then relocated to the wilderness for non-work purposes. It’s a unique approach to portable work and play space that looks perfectly at home in urban and rural environments.
