A House Designed for a Photographer

The French firm Studio Razavi Architecture, founded by registered architect Alireza Razavi, recently completed work on a studio and house for a photographer in the seaside resort town of Loctudy, France. Built for a photographer looking for a space that could pull double duty as a summer home and a studio, House for a Photographer is a home with a multi-faceted facade based on “studies which define a simple and smooth building skin varied in height and punctured by openings.” In other words, it makes heavy use of sloping roofs and large amounts of glass in the form of windows and doors throughout. The unique, two-story house is decked out in lots of white, wood and darker tile to create plenty of living space that’s multipurpose in its functionality. Throw in a wood-burning stove, some hanging pendant bulbs and a family to get everything you need for the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
