If Elon Musk ever gets his wish to colonize Mars, he just might tap Zyva Studio’s Anthony Authié and Charlotte Taylor to bring legendary mid-century L.A. architect John Lautner’s futuristic dwellings to life. This pink rock-embedded, octagonal domicile is known as the Neo-Chemosphere. The white resin interior is bright and airy, and the living space is modern and generous. The 360-degree views are provided by huge wraparound windows and large circular skylights, and privacy is ensured by its remote location that looks like it’s only accessible by helicopter, 4×4, or parachute. It also appears that providing utilities to the location could be a significant hurdle as a sacrifice for the sheer coolness factor.
