LG is firing on all cylinders when it comes to its incredibly innovative releases scheduled for the next calendar year. What started with stylish, gallery-worthy TVs, and cutting-edge laptops now includes Tiiun, a freestanding indoor gardening appliance.
Named in reference to the Korean word that means “to sprout,” Tiiun is a mini fridge sized, self-contained horticultural appliance that makes it possible for even the most novice gardener to cultivate vegetables, herbs, and even flowers in the comfort of their own homes, all year round. With two shelves that can each hold up to six all-in-one seed packages (along with three different kinds of seed kits), you can grow a variety of greens in only four to eight weeks–without all the mess, difficulty, and required green thumb.
Temperature, light, watering, and circulation are automatically adjusted by LG’s smart gardening system, so the entire system is essentially foolproof… even if you don’t have a green thumb. The LG Tiiun freestanding indoor gardening appliance will be officially unveiled–along with pricing and availability–with the rest of the recent LG innovations during CES in January.
