LEGO NASA Space Shuttle Concept

LEGO has released some of their own space shuttles building kits before, but the official ones are nowhere near as good as the LEGO Ideas NASA Space Shuttle Concept developed by Ideas user KingsKnight. The biggest difference between the Ideas Shuttle and the other options is the sheer size: it’s built to the same approximate scale (1:111) as the recently released Saturn V Rocket kit. When assembled, this kit would end up being close to twenty inches tall from base to nose. It wouldn’t be a true space shuttle concept or a cool LEGO set if there weren’t some parts to play with when you were done building it, so KingsKnight incorporated quite a few moving parts. There’s a large cargo bay with functional doors that feature an Orbital Docking System, Canadarm robotic arm, and satellite. The solid rocket boosters (SRBs) and the external tank (ET) can be easily separated if you want to simulate a launch. If the concept does get made, it’s going to be a great LEGO display piece.
