Now, startup company July has created one that’s not just attractive but also easy to install, effective, and uses less energy than a conventional A/C unit. In fact, July uses 10 percent less energy and actually has two-thirds fewer emissions. It might as well have been designed in Cupertino since the controls are flush with the top, and there are no garish knobs to muddle up the look. You can also program July to cool when you’re not home, control it via smartphone app/remote control/Goole Home/Alexa, and it will even respond via voice commands. July comes in three colorways including white, gray, and ash wood to suit your decor and tastes. The Small spits out 6,000 BTU and cools up to 250 square feet, while The Medium has 8,000 BTU and cools up to 350 square feet.
